Step 1: Place the image
Start by clicking Insert> Pictures and choose the picture of your choice.
If you want a different shape for the picture, you can also select the shape from the Shapes tab. When you’re done, select the shape and click Shape Fill> Image. The savings part is a bit different, which we will tell you at the end of the article.
Step 2: Format the image
When you are done, right-click on the picture and select Format Picture. Click the Image tab on the far right and expand the Image Corrections option. Here you can use the available presets or adjust the sharpness by sliding the sharpness slider.

Step 3: Adjust the color tone
A good thing about MS Word is that it allows you to change the color tone of the picture. As with most image editing apps on Android, you can choose from a wide variety of color options.
Double click on the image, which will bring up up the Format tab in the header. Click Color and hover your mouse over the thumbnail to glimpse the change. After choosing the color tone, save the image.
Step 4: Apply a filter
The Artistic tab is pretty cool when it comes to choosing an image filter. From artistic brush strokes to chalk strokes, it has it all.
Just choose the filter and if you want to soften the transparency, slide the slider accordingly.
Step 5: Save it as an image
Once all color corrections have been made, right-click on the image and choose Save As Image.
Enter the new name and that’s it. The edited image is saved with all new styles and filters. Note: Word does not save all filters and effects. For example, the 3D format and 3D rotation effects are not saved.
Save images with shapes
The storage part is a bit different for the shapes images.
